About Me

My Professional Journey

I'm a builder at heart, driven by a passion for both finance and technology. My journey started in accounting, where I mastered the language of business. But I saw a bigger opportunity: to not just report the numbers, but to use technology to forecast them, optimize them, and uncover the stories they tell.

Technical Growth & The Future (AI)

This led me to develop a deep expertise in tools like Python, SQL, and Power BI, as well as harnessing the power of AI to streamline and improve workflows. I’ve been exploring how machine learning and automation can reduce manual effort, eliminate bottlenecks, and help businesses make faster, smarter decisions. This mindset and technical curiosity became the foundation for the projects I have built outside of my day-to-day accounting work, all designed to solve real-world business problems through technology.

My Philosophy

This site is a living document, reflecting my continuous journey of growth, and more developments to come! You might ask, "Why pivot from accounting?" The answer is simple: I wanted to adapt to the future of business. The world is undergoing a profound digital transformation, and I believe the most valuable professionals are those who can act as a bridge between financial strategy and technical execution. My goal is to be that bridge.

Hobbies & Personal Life

Outside of work, I’m a huge sports fanatic, both playing and watching. I grew up as a multi-sport athlete, from basketball to tennis, but soccer has always been my first love. I always say I could’ve gone pro, but I chose the Accountant/Tech bro life instead (haha). If you’re a Ronaldo fan and ride for Real Madrid, we’ll get along well! I’m also big on cars, whether it's the engineering aspect, design, or the satisfaction of getting my hands dirty doing my own repairs. I love understanding how complex systems work, whether it's under the hood or in code. When I’m not geeking out over engines or analytics, you’ll find me spending time with family, reading, or just learning something new for the fun of it.

Built and owned the direct-method cash flow forecast for five global divisions: ~90% period-end accuracy, landing $12M+ closer to the actual result than the prior FP&A method and more accurate than the incumbent Anaplan build; adopted as the company standard and used weekly by Mars Treasury
Recovered $760K+ in AP overpayments with a payment-tracking and reconciliation system built solo in Databricks SQL and VBA (five modules plus an orchestrator), covering $700M+ in payments across 1,200+ vendors; adopted as General Accounting's official bank reconciliation SOP across four divisions, it also sped resolution of $20M+ in GL variances
Mapped the trial balance from OneStream to OneConsole at a 94% match (253 of 270 accounts within $1K) and categorized the $4M residual into mapping, reclass and intercompany items; the drill-down led to a standing weekly close-improvement meeting
Produced CFO-bound executive summaries in KPI-tile format, including a working capital drill-down tying operating cash flow to source GL detail; the format became the template for executive deliverables
Built a balance sheet flux tool on Databricks SQL across five global divisions, replacing the manual Excel flux, and the audit trail supporting a multi-million-dollar tariff refund claim
Managed the 13-period close (200+ journal entries per cycle) and automated audit-ready working paper PDF exports in Python
Co-led the accounting workstream of Mars' global Finance Digital Tools initiative, assessing legacy SSRS reports for migration to Power BI on Databricks; selected for a Mars global leadership roundtable
